The story behind Brooklyn Bake Shop

(And the reason you keep coming back for more!)

1993

Mr. Martin, an American pastry chef, moved to Jerusalem and realized that something was missing -  the authentic American taste. But it wouldn’t remain missing for long! Mr Martin opened a small, family bakery on Malchei Yisrael Street, and it quickly became a local favorite.

 

2003

A decade later, the bakery moved to the iconic 15 Mea Shearim Street, and the legend began. This popular space may be small, but it’s full of warmth and flavor;

a cozy Jerusalem bakery with a true New York soul.

 

2025
After repeated requests from loyal customers, we opened a new, modern branch on Shamgar Street; spacious, modern, and filled with the smell of fresh pastries. This new location hosts a delicious addition:

a bagel bar and a custom salad station.
